Notice to California Patients

REGULATORY STATUS AND LICENSURE

Epicur Pharma is a fully licensed outsourcing facility in the State of California, holding an active license issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy. As with all California licensed outsourcing facilities, we are inspected to cGMP standards every year via a California in-person inspection.

Although our 2024 and 2025 California inspections have been completed without showing any repeat observations, the state has taken action on our prior California inspections and has placed us on a two (2) year probation. Our license is currently active and in good standing with the California State Board of Pharmacy. We take all actions by the Board very seriously and appreciate their support in providing the best quality products for patients. 

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING OUR OPERATIONS

We wish to emphasize the following important points:

  • There are no state or federally mandated restrictions or limitations on our ability to sell medications.
  • The Board has never determined that any product was harmful, substandard, or adulterated.
  • No recalls of any kind have ever been requested or required by the California State Board of Pharmacy.

 

SETTLEMENT DECISION

Epicur Pharma has agreed to enter into a stipulated settlement with the California Board of Pharmacy. We had the full right to contest these matters through a formal hearing process, which would have included the right to cross-examine witnesses, present our own evidence, including our most recent inspections showing no repeat observations, issue subpoenas, and pursue court review of any adverse decision. However, after careful consideration with our legal counsel, we made the strategic choice to settle this matter.

Rather than engage in what could have been a lengthy and resource-intensive hearing process, we chose to settle to:

  • Preserve our valuable time and energy for serving our customers and advancing our mission
  • Focus our resources on operations where we can most effectively serve our clients
  • Avoid prolonged uncertainty that could impact our day-to-day operations and team morale
  • Demonstrate our commitment to regulatory compliance and move forward constructively

 

This decision reflects our commitment to operating efficiently and directing our efforts toward what matters most – delivering exceptional service to our customers and maintaining the strong operational standards we work hard to uphold every day.
